Located in the picturesque Hawkesbury, it is a source of great pride that we have maintained our local manufacturing capabilities right here in Windsor, just outside Sydney, and that we can offer our customers the flexibility in order-value and product-range that goes with being a local manufacturer.
Pastel Pines Home Fragrance offerings include soy wax candles, reed diffusers, natural essential oils and fragrant pot pourri. We pride ourselves on being able to create beautifully scented products at a competitive price point. We also stock a large range of ethically sourced Sea Shells and Driftwood Home Décor products.

Our Story
Pastel Pines has a long history of manufacturing Australian Made Home Fragrance products. Joan and Peter Sterelny purchased the business in 1995 after being distributers for Pastel Pines since the early 90’s. Joan was a talented salesperson with experience in running her own agency, and Peter had an extensive background in engineering and manufacturing industries. Together they grew the business from the ground up, mixing their own Pot Pourri and bottling large amounts of Fragrant Oils back in the 90’s when these products were all the rage.
In 2000, Sam Maitland joined the business as a bookkeeper to help Peter and Joan with the introduction of GST. Sam continued to work in the business in different capacities for many years with Peter & Joan as her mentors. The three of them became very close and consider each other family.
As times changed, Pastel Pines began manufacturing a more diverse range of products including Reed Diffusers and Soy Wax Candles. All products created by Pastel Pines are developed, tested, designed, and manufactured in house by our talented staff.
In 2014 Sam took the reins as the General Manager of Pastel Pines, and then in 2019 Sam purchased the business from Peter & Joan when they decided to slow down a little. Peter is still involved in the business as a director, and he still comes into the office most days to share a coffee with Sam and to advise & support her in the running of the business.
Today Pastel Pines employees more than 25 people in our 2300sqm factory. We are proud to have a very inclusive and diverse workplace. We hope to continue to grow and expand as an Australian Made and family-owned business with the support of our amazing customers.
